Velkommen til `Dragsminkeworkshop´ med Remi Johansen Hovda den 13.april 2025. I denne workshopen skal dere få lære av Remi sine dragsminketeknikker når han forvandler seg til sin dragkarakter, Nabi Yeon Geisha. Dette er et sminkekurs hvor vi skal jobbe med dekonstruksjon og rekonstruksjon av ansiktet for å skape en typisk feminint draglook. Vi kommer til å gå grundig til verks, der dere kan stille spørsmål om ulike teknikker, utforske egne måter å gjøre ting på og få veiledning underveis.
Dragsminke er en egen reise du må jobbe med og øve på, og denne workshoppen kan være din start på denne reisen!

Om underviser
Remi Johansen Hovda er universitetslektor ved OsloMet. Han en del av dragkollektivet Princessilicious, og har drevet med drag siden 2013 med sin karakter Nabi Yeon Geisha. Han er aktuell med prosjektene Open Drag Stage, Oslo Drag Festival, Dronningtimen og Dragification, og er emne- og fagansvarlig for dragstudiet ´Kunsten å dragge` på OsloMet hvor han også underviser om dragsminke. Dette kurset passer for både den erfarne og de helt ferske.

Club Kid Makeup is a playful and gender neutral makeup that challenges traditional norms for esthetics and beauty. Inspired by 80s and 90s Blitz Kids from London and Club Kids from New York City, we are entering the nightclub´s colorful avant garde universe.
In this course Teddy will guide you through the process in hos to create a stage ready “Club Kid Look” from start to finish. We will play with colors, composition/placements and eyes.
Explore the more absurd, and learn new techniques and ways to achieve a statement makeup with Teddy!

ABout teacher
Teddy (he/him) is an Oslo- based performance artist and club kid from Bergen. He is also active in the Norwegian ballroom scene as Teddy Angels from the Legendary Kiki House of Angels. He has guested queer clubs and concepts in Oslo such as Bad Habits, EvrySome, Monument, Oslo Drag Festival, KarmaKlubb, Det Gode Selskap og Queer Community Club. Earlier this year he toured in both Sweden and Denmark with the drag stage-performance “All About Mimi”. He is also educated as a makeup artist through Imageakademiet here in Oslo within “Fashion and Beauty”, and has worked with doing makeup for photoshoots and artists.

CONTENT
Join me for the "Flawless Glam: Universal Makeup Techniques for All" course, where I'll share the skills and secrets I've learned over years as a makeup artist, including experience at New York and Oslo Fashion Weeks. As Mimi Devine, a classic drag queen, I love creating beauty, glam, and sexy looks.
In this course, I'll teach you Mimi's go-to look, focusing on a sexy, glamorous eye with a strong emphasis on blending techniques. You'll learn how to match your foundation perfectly, highlight and contour to enhance your features, and create fuller, seductive lips. I'll also introduce you to my favorite products that I personally use.
This course isn’t just for drag queens; it’s an opportunity for anyone to learn how to achieve a clean, flawless glam makeup look.

About the teacheR
Shlomi Ruimi (1978) is a professional dancer, choreographer, and drag artist based in Bergen, Norway, with over 20 years of experience. As a former dancer and rehearsal director for Carte Blanche, Shlomi combines his extensive dance background with makeup artistry. Known for his drag persona, Mimi Devine, he has been touring the successful show All About Mimi in Sweden and Norway and recently reached the semi-finals of Norske Talenter 2024. Shlomi has been an ambassador for NYX Cosmetics, Inglot, and Tromborg, and has led makeup teams at both New York and Oslo Fashion Weeks. His makeup course draws from his history in the fashion industry and drag performance, focusing on creating classic beauty and glamorous looks.

The courses will be held in either Norwegian or english. Most of the classes and our instructors are open to adapt the course and teach in english. This will be specified in each of the courses description.
